At The Pocket Trichologist, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our users. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Some of that information relates to your hair, scalp and health, so we handle it with extra care.

Information We Collect

We collect the information you give us when you use the app:

Account details: your name and email address, and your login credentials.
Hair and scalp profile: details such as hair type, length, porosity and scalp type.
Symptoms and concerns: what you tell us about your hair and scalp health.
Photos: images of your hair and scalp that you choose to upload.
Questions and advice: questions you send to a trichologist, the written advice you get back, and your advice history.
Subscription status: whether you are on the free or premium plan.

We may also collect standard technical information, such as your device type, operating system version, app version and error reports, so we can keep the app working.

To create and manage your account
To give you personalised hair and scalp guidance
To let a trichologist review your profile, symptoms and photos and reply with written advice
To track your progress over time
To manage your subscription and unlock premium features
To fix problems and improve the app

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your photos or health-related information for advertising.

Who Can See Your Information

Your profile, symptoms, photos and questions are visible to you and to the trichologist reviewing your request. We do not share them with other app users.

The app is built on the Adalo platform, which hosts and stores the app's data. We also use app store services from Apple and Google. These providers process information only on our behalf and only to provide those services. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Payments

Premium subscriptions are bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google handle your payment, and we do not see or store your card details. Their own privacy policies apply to the payment information you give them.

Not Medical Advice

The Pocket Trichologist provides general hair and scalp guidance. It is not a substitute for advice, diagnosis or treatment from a doctor or other qualified health professional. If you are worried about your health, speak to your doctor.

How Long We Keep Your Information

We keep your information while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data, including your photos and advice history, unless we are required by law to keep some of it.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to export a copy of it. You can also withdraw your consent at any time by deleting your account. To make a request, email hello@onnitstudio.com from the address linked to your account.

Children's Information

Another part of our priority is adding protection for children while using the internet. We encourage parents and guardians to observe, participate in, and/or monitor and guide their online activity.

The Pocket Trichologist does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13. If you think that your child provided this kind of information on our App, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately and we will do our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page.

Consent

By using our app, you hereby consent to our Privacy Policy and agree to its Terms and Conditions.

Account Deletion Information

To delete your account and associated data, including your profile, photos and advice history, you should:

Open The Pocket Trichologist app
Log in to your account
Go to the More menu
Choose the delete account option and follow the instructions

If you cannot access the app, email hello@onnitstudio.com from the address linked to your account and we will delete it for you.

Deleting your account does not cancel a paid subscription. Cancel it in your Apple App Store or Google Play subscription settings.
